An immersive art installation will open near the Leadenhall Building in February
Giant 20-ft high rainbow arches, titled Elysian Arcs, will be on show at the foot of the Leadenhall Building in the City of London from 26 February.
A group of 20ft-high spectacular, rainbow-coloured arcs will be on show by the The Leadenhall Building in London's City from 26 February. Named Elysian Arcs, this immersive light and sound installation, created by Atelier Sisu, aims to support the well-being of city workers and residents. Commissioned by the Eastern City Business Improvement District (EC BID) as part of their RECHARGE 2024 campaign.
Crafted from a colour-reflecting dichroic film, the arcs interact with changing light, offering a unique visual experience. Visitors can delve deeper into the striking interplay of light and colour by accessing additional information about the installation from a nearby board with a QR code. As day transitions to night, internal lights within the arcs illuminate, creating a serene atmosphere for exploration and reflection.
Aligned with EC BID's efforts to address mental health challenges, Elysian Arcs serves as a reminder of the importance of self-care. Kate Hart, CEO of EC BID, highlights the installation as an opportunity for visitors and workers alike to pause and appreciate moments of beauty amidst their daily routines.
