#FLODown: The spring edition of the Affordable Art Fair lands in Battersea Park this weekend. The fair will feature contemporary artworks priced between £50-£6000 from 100s of galleries from all over the globe. Expect to find a plethora of workshops, talks and tours, plus this will be a fantastic opportunity to get your hands on some great art pieces at affordable prices.

Whether you’re an avid art collector, just want to indulge in art and some drinks with your friends or are taking the kids out for a day of art appreciation, there will be something for you all.

Cecil Beaton: Bright Young Things

#FLODown: Celebrating the eccentric style of “British Young Things’ of the 20s and 30s the National Portrait Gallery presents an exhibition by famous British photographer, Cecil Beaton. The exhibition will explore the era and the lives of glamorous members of high society, socialites, artists and writers. Expect to see chic outfits, cool people and depictions of the ‘lassiez faire’ attitude we all love to hate from the 1920s. The exhibition will feature some of Beaton’s own portraits as well as those from artists including Henry Lamb and Rex Whistler. 

This marks one of the last exhibitions before the National Portrait Gallery is due to undergo a three-year refurbishment. Don’t miss out!

 #FLODown: Known as the lady in Pablo Picasso’s 1937 ‘Weeping Women’ painting; Door Maar was a talented French Photographer and painter. With a collection of works that was seen to be radical, political and innovative she was an inspiration to many – which, of course includes Picasso.

 The Tate modern exhibition presents her early photographs, paintings and advertisements. This weekend is one of your last chances to see with the exhibition as it is ending on 15th March.
