Family Fun: Introduction to Palestinian Embroidery
Children aged 5-11 can join a cross-stitch workshop led by The Tatreez Collective. In this workshop, children will learn to create their own birds using the traditional motif of Palestinian embroidery. The workshop not only fosters fine motor skills but also offers insights into the cultural significance of this Palestinian tradition. Parents or caregivers are required to accompany the children during the workshop, and up to two adults per child can attend for free. The workshop takes place at Leighton House's newly opened Learning Centre, with admission to the historic house included. All materials will be provided, and children can take their embroidered creation home with them.

Brian Clarke: A Great Light

During Volunteers' Week, which runs from 1-7 June 2023, Handel Hendrix House is seeking music and history enthusiasts to join their volunteer program. The museum, recently reopened after expansion and restoration, showcases the homes of Handel and Hendrix. Volunteers act as room stewards, sharing stories, ensuring artifact safety, and enhancing the visitor experience with live music performances. The museum is open Wednesday to Sunday, and volunteers are needed during busy weekends. Induction and training provided.
