Where to watch fireworks in London for Bonfire Night 2023

London is renowned for its spectacular Bonfire Night celebrations, complete with delicious food, mulled wine, thrilling fair rides, and, of course, impressive fireworks displays and traditional bonfires. But what's Bonfire Night, you ask? It's a commemoration of the 1605 Gunpowder Plot when Guy Fawkes was caught guarding explosives under the House of Lords, aiming to assassinate King James I. To celebrate the king's survival, people light bonfires and enjoy fireworks.

Here is our guide to the best fireworks and bonfire events across the city in November 2023.

Cancellations
Unfortunately, this year in London, several displays, including the famous Blackheath fireworks, have been canceled due to various reasons, including funding issues. Displays in Southwark Park and Crystal Palace will also not be taking place, and in East London, both Clissold Park and Victoria Park displays sadly appear to be canceled this year. Let's hope for a big return next year!
