Hayward Gallery Presents - British Art Show โ Season 9
As lockdown is lifting and galleries will be opening their doors, we are anticipating the social aspect of seeing art in the flesh and soaking in the atmosphere. One of the exhibitions that we are particularly looking forward to is Hayward Gallery Touringโs landmark exhibition, British Art Show 9 (BAS9), which will open in Scotland at Aberdeen Art Gallery in July 2021. The display takes place in the UK every five years, displaying a plethora of talented contemporary artists. This year will be particularly special from the recent events that have happened last year. The tour will also go to several venues in the cities of Wolverhampton, Manchester and Plymouth.

#FLODown: Coordinated by artistic duo Irene Aristizรกbal and Hammad Nasar this summer is set to be just as uplifting. Viewers are sure to see an explosion of art through film, painting, sculpture and performance. The exhibition has been developed at a time in Britainโs history that has brought politics, narratives of identity, race and the question of agency to the centre of public consciousness. This will be demonstrated throughout the exhibition. There will be three categories that viewers will explore, consisting of healing, care and reparative history; tactics for togetherness; and imagining new futures. Immerse yourself, as you are sure to see art you love, art you hate, art that challenges you, and art that puts a smile on your face.
