Belmond has announced the launch of the Britannic Explorer, A Belmond Train, the first luxury sleeper train dedicated to England and Wales. Set to begin its maiden journey in July 2025, the train represents a new era of slow travel, fusing traditional rail elegance with modern British gastronomy, design, and culture. This extraordinary experience will feature three-night journeys departing from London, exploring the natural splendours of Cornwall, the Lake District, and Wales, with an option to combine regional routes for extended adventures. On board, passengers can enjoy bespoke cultural programming, wellness therapies, and culinary excellence led by renowned Chef Simon Rogan.

The Britannic Explorer’s routes are crafted to immerse passengers in the landscapes and heritage of Britain. During the day, off-train excursions include private tours, guided hikes, and visits to exclusive cultural landmarks such as Hauser & Wirth Somerset and Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens. By night, the train becomes a social haven with a botanically inspired Observation Car Bar, where guests can sip artisan cocktails and mingle. The onboard atmosphere, designed by acclaimed studio Albion Nord, combines heritage motifs with a serene colour palette inspired by Britain’s natural beauty, creating an ambience of sophisticated tranquillity.
