The Waldorf Astoria Berlin is located in Berlin's West district, and offers modern luxury, with an elegant and sophisticated design. Featuring the first Guerlain Spa in Germany, the hotel has two bars, a restaurant and the opportunity to indulge in a chic afternoon tea with panoramic views of Berlin from the library lounge on the 15th floor.

The hotel is conveniently located; with the S-Bahn Zoologischer Garten train station on the doorstep of the hotel, a couple of stops from central Berlin. Also nearby, is the exclusive Kurfurstendamm, home to several designer stores, restaurants and bars. Attractions such as the Helmut Newton Foundation/Museum of Photography are within a short walking distance. The Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag are also easily accessible by train or a 40 minute walk. At Christmas, from November to December the Weihnachtsmarkt am Gedachtniskirche Christmas market is within 200 yards of the hotel.

Amenities

The only Guerlain Spa in the whole of Germany is located in the hotel. Featuring eight spa therapy rooms, a pool with a sauna, steam room, Vichy shower and a rooftop terrace open in the summertime. With a good selection of treaatents on offer and a sizable pool area, we would recommend a visit for some rest and relaxation. thankfully the spa is open till 9pm, so you can have a post dinner session.

The hotel also has a sizeable fitness centre.

 

Food and Drink

 The hotel has an all-day casual restaurant called Roca, serving modern Mediterranean cuisines, mainly small plate dishes that have a very home-cooked feel and a selection of tasty treats.  They also offer al fresco dining on there small terrace available in the summertime.

The Waldorf Astoria Library Lounge offers afternoon tea with a view. Located on the 15th floor of the hotel. The library lounge is a chic exquisite environment with panoramic views of the city. The hotel has two bars, The Lang bar named after famed resident Fritz Lang is a sophisticated bar serving cocktails, wines and light bites. Peacock Alley offers a modern interpretation of its New York sister.

As with all Hilton Collection hotels, Wi-Fi is only free if you are a member of the Hilton Honours. If you aren’t we suggest joining for free before heading to the hotel. Additional charge to use the hotel spa and pool.

#FLODown: The hotel is well located just a short distance from Zoologischer Garten S and U bahn station with direct connections across the city. True to its name, the hotel doesn’t disappoint when it comes to the interior design and hotel amenities such as the spa provided an added level of relaxation to the stay. However, watch out for additional charges for the spa or Wi-Fi. Nevertheless, the hotel has a lot to offer and we would recommend a stay based on comfort and easy access.
