#FLOFavourite: Used Book Café - Le Marais
Located in the Marais neighbourhood and tucked away within Merci the high-end concept store. The Used Book Café features ceiling to floor shelves stacked with over 10,000 books, you will feel like you are walking into a chic book cupboard. It is by far the cutest café in Paris and the perfect location whether you are catching up with friends, getting on with some work or unwinding with a book whilst sipping on freshly brewed coffee. Expect to find a great atmosphere to rendezvous over a Champagne Brunch or jammed scones and tea; it is a must see when in Paris.
What to eat?
Although their menu is not extensive, there are some classic gems we love to eat when there.
Rosemary scones, orange zest and jam
Price: 7 EUR
Merci Plate: Speck, buffalo mozzarella and basil
Price: 18 EUR
The Merci plate with a glass of Laurent-Perrier Brut Champagne is a wonderful afternoon treat. Indulge in one of their homemade cakes for dessert, they change frequently but are always very appetising.
#FLOFavourite: Proceeds from the Merci Concept store go to the Merci Endowment Fund, which helps to finance acts of humanitarian development in education. They work particularly hard to integrate education in Madagascar.
The Used Book Café is our go to place in Paris, we are obsessed!
