Blue Lagoon Smoothie Bowl

This Blue Lagoon Smoothie Bowl has the perfect combination of coconut, tropical fruits and chia seeds. We have all seen those pretty blue bowls all over Instagram. The secret ingredient which makes this beautiful and unique blue colour is Blue Spirulina or Blue Majik. Spirulina is high in protein, a good source of antioxidants and vitamins such as A, K2 and B12; it has been said to support the immune system.
However, Blue Majik is not entirely the same Spirulina we usually see in health food shops, it is an extract of green Spirulina that has a blue pigment. It is still a very beneficial supplement which can be added to your diet daily, for example in freshly squeezed juices, daily smoothies, your chia pudding and overnight oats.
Ingredients
2 frozen bananas
1/2 cup of coconut milk
A generous scoop of vanilla powder
A touch of Blue Majik powder (you can add a bit extra for more intense colour).

Method
1. Place all the ingredients in a nutribullet (a blender will produce the same results) and blend until smooth.
2. Pour into a bowl of your choice and serve with toppings of your choice. We kept our toppings in the same colour palette and added the berries and coconut, chia seeds, rice puffs and edible flowers to keep it light and fresh just like a seaside morning…
Enjoy!
