Sex and the City immersive experience coming to London
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the iconic TV show Sex and the City, Warner Bros Discovery and Sky have created an immersive pop-up experience in London.
Taking place from 20 - 25 June at Piccadilly Circus, the pop-up features a series of rooms that recreate scenes from the show, showcasing clothing, fashion accessories, and video screens. Guests are allowed to take photographs and are encouraged to do so. Tickets cost £5 and include a cosmopolitan cocktail that visitors can carry around during their visit. The pop-up is located in the former Barclays bank next to Boots.
The immersive experience coincides with the debut of the second season of the show's spin-off, And Just Like That, which will premiere on 22 June 2023 on Sky Comedy and NOW. The pop-up also serves as a way to market the franchise and provide fans with a unique opportunity to step into the world of Sex and the City. Attendees can enjoy memorable moments from the show, such as Carrie's brownstone apartment steps, take pictures in her wardrobe, and sitting at her desk where famous lines were penned.
The Sex and the City experience follows the trend of immersive experiences bursting onto the London scene. Other immersive experiences in London in recent years have included ABBA, Stranger Things, David Hockney, and Van Gogh, Salvador Dalí, Frameless, and more recently, Vogue Magazine and champagne House Veuve Clicquot, who presented Solaire to celebrate 250 years of the brand.
Fans of the show have the chance to immerse themselves in the original series and then continue the experience at home by watching the new season of And Just Like That. With the combination of the immersive pop-up and the show's spin-off, Sex and the City enthusiasts are in for a treat!
Date: 20 - 25 June 2023. Location: 48 Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, London W1B 5RA. Price: from £5. Book now.
