Where to find Banksy’s latest animal-themed artwork in London
This week, the renowned street artist Banksy has unveiled what many are dubbing a ‘London Zoo’ series, with seven new animal-themed artworks appearing across the city. Banksy confirmed these works as his own through a series of Instagram posts. To help you explore these latest creations, we’ve put together a guide on where to find them in London, including tips on how to locate them on Google Maps.
Perched Goat, Kew
#FLODown: The first of the new works, revealed on Monday, depicts a goat perched on top of a wall near Kew Bridge in Richmond.
Location: Caxton Name Plate Manufacturing Co, Richmond, TW9 3AP. Situated on the south side of Kew Bridge.
Two Elephants, Chelsea
#FLODown: On Tuesday, Chelsea residents discovered a mural of two elephant silhouettes on the side of a house at the intersection of Edith Terrace and Edith Grove.
Location: Opposite Chelsea Community Church, Edith Grove, SW10 0LB.
Three Monkeys, Brick Lane
#FLODown: By Wednesday, a trio of monkeys appeared swinging across a bridge over Brick Lane, just a short walk from Shoreditch High Street Station.
Location: Brick Lane Bridge, 113 Brick Ln, London E1 6SE.
Howling Wolf, Peckham
#FLODown: A howling wolf, painted on a satellite dish on Peckham’s Rye Lane, was unveiled on Thursday. Unfortunately, it was stolen by thieves just an hour after it appeared. We arrived shortly after to find a crowd of bystanders and photographers, all dismayed by the theft. Many speculated whether this was part of an elaborate stunt. Could the artwork reappear elsewhere? Notably, a previous Banksy piece—a ‘Stop Traffic’ sign on Commercial Way in Peckham—was stolen in December 2023, and we have yet to see it resurface.
Location: Rye Lane, Peckham, next to the Chartwell Cancer Trust Shop.
Pelicans, Walthamstow
#FLODown: The fifth artwork in Banksy’s London series appeared on the wall of a fish and chip shop in Walthamstow, featuring two bird silhouettes.
Location: Bonners Fish Bar, 144 Northcote Rd, E17 7EB, on the Pretoria Avenue side.
Cat, Cricklewood
#FLODOwn: Banksy's sixth artwork briefly appeared on a shabby empty billboard on Edgware Road in Cricklewood, north-west London. A few hours later, it was removed by contractors who said they did so to prevent it from being vandalised or removed.
Location: Edware Road, Cricklewood, north-west London.
Piranhas, City of London
#FLODown: The final work to appear in London throughout the week was a tank of piranhas on a police box in the City of London. Unlike the previous works seen in the city this week, this piece is different in style, with the artist adding a splash of colour to the work.
Location: Ludgate Hill - near The Old Bailey and St Paul's Cathedral.
