Escapes returns in 2025 with free screenings of Point Break at over 150 UK cinemas
Escapes brings free cinema experiences back for 2025, offering tickets to a special 4K screening of Point Break at over 150 UK cinemas, with more monthly screenings planned throughout the year.
Escapes kicks off 2025 with a free screening of Point Break on Monday 20th January, available at over 150 cinemas across the UK. This 4K restoration of the 1991 action classic, starring Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves, offers an exciting opportunity to experience the film on the big screen. Following the success of 65,000 free tickets claimed in 2024, Escapes continues to provide audiences with access to iconic films at no cost.
Supported by the BFI and National Lottery funding, Escapes is committed to offering free monthly screenings of a diverse selection of films, including cult classics, new releases, and independent features. By partnering with major cinema chains like Picturehouse and Reel, as well as independent venues, Escapes ensures that high-quality film experiences are accessible to audiences across the UK. The initiative aims to reach a broad audience, particularly those who donโt often attend cinemas.
The screening of Point Break marks the first of many exciting films planned for 2025. With its iconic performances and thrilling action sequences, this 4K restoration allows viewers to enjoy the film in all its restored glory.
Tickets for Point Break and other upcoming screenings are available for FREE at escapetothecinema.co.uk or via the Escapes Cinematik app.
